Michael Buble’s House

A few weeks ago, during an eye exam, I had my pupils dilated – an activity which has to be one of my least favorite in the entire world!  For the next few hours, thanks to my blurry vision, I couldn’t do much of anything besides watch TV – and I couldn’t even do that very well!  :(   So, because I was homebound for the day, I decided to pop in the behind-the-scenes DVD that had come free with Michael Buble’s latest “Crazy Love” album, which I had received as a gift a few months prior, but had yet to watch.  Those who read my blog regularly know that even though this stalker’s heart has long belonged to Josh Duhamel, as of late I’ve also developed a tiny celebrity crush on Canadian crooner Michael Buble.  I’ve actually been obsessed with MB’s music for years now, but never really thought the guy was all that good-looking.  Until last year, when I saw him in person at the Beverly Hills Hotel, that is!  Let me tell you, I think my knees went right out from under me when I spotted him – he is that dreamy!  :)   Pictures just don’t do the guy justice for some reason, but, trust me, in person he is very, ahem, VERY good-looking!  And he also seemed very down-to-earth and humble, which just added to his dreaminess for me.  :)   Because Michael is a native Canadian, I had always been under the impression that he lived in the Vancouver area, which I actually think he does most of the time.  So, when he announced during the DVD that he also owned a home in Los Angeles, I just about fell off my couch and immediately ran upstairs to my computer to do some cyber-stalking – which was no easy task considering my temporary blindness.  But I was a woman on a mission and no amount of eye dilation was going to stop me from finding that house!  Fortunately, it didn’t take me long thanks to this page on fave website Virtual Globetrotting which documented the exact location of the singer’s residence.  THANK YOU, Virtual Globetrotting!  :)   So, once my eyes were back to normal, I dragged my fiancé right out to West Hollywood to go stalk the place.

Sadly, aside from a large exterior wall made out of stucco and a slate waterfall which was turned off at the time, not much of Michael’s house was visible from the street.    And because the road out in front of his home is extremely narrow, I couldn’t back up far enough to take a photograph of the entire property.

But that’s why God created aerial images!  :)   The recently renovated 2,985 square foot “Zen contemporary” style home boasts three bedrooms, 3.5  bathrooms, two fireplaces, stone flooring, a swimming pool and spa, and sweeping views of the city.  Michael purchased the property from actress Michelle Johnson for a cool $4.1 million on March 30th of this year.  You can see interior photographs of the home during the time Michelle owned it here.  Prior to Michelle, the residence was owned by 60’s star and Playboy  model Edy Williams.

My favorite aspect of the property, though, has to be the fact that it is located DIRECTLY across the street from a residence belonging to my girl, Miss Jennifer Aniston.  So, I guess that means that if Michael Buble and I ever got married, I’d be Jen’s neighbor!  That’d definitely be having my cake and eating it, too!  :)   Jen purchased the house across from Michael back in her Friends days and lived there prior to her marriage to Brad Pitt and then again after their subsequent divorce.  After Jen moved into her new home on Hillcrest Drive in Beverly Hills, she began leasing the property out.  For a time it was even rented to actor Sacha Baron Cohen and his lady love Isla Fisher.  :)     Can you even imagine having Jen Aniston as your landlord?  That would be just about the coolest thing ever!  :)    ScreenShot2730

On a side note – Michael Buble also held a photo shoot for the “Crazy Love” album cover at his new home (pictured above), which was shown very briefly on “The Making of Crazy Love” DVD.  Unfortunately, not much of the house could been seen during the segment, but it was still very cool to watch nonetheless.  :)

Until next time, Happy Stalking!  :)

Stalk It: Michael Buble’s house is located at 1638 Blue Jay Way in West Hollywood.  Jennifer Aniston’s house is located directly across the street at 1639  Blue Jay Way.  According to my buddy E.J. over at The Movieland Directory, Blue Jay Way has numerous other celebrity inhabitants, as well, including David E. Kelley, who lived at number 1467 during the 90’s,  Greg Abbott, who lived at 1505, Frankie Muniz, who formerly resided at 1506, Ross Fraser, who lives at number 1525 in a house formerly occupied by Hy Averback and Dick Martin, comedian Richard Lewis, who resided at number 1550 for a time, celebrity hair-stylist Christophe, who currently lives at number 1536, Alan Thicke, who used to reside at 1568, and John Hughes, who formerly lived at 1646.

And let’s not forget the late great George Harrison penned the Beatles song “Blue Jay Way” from a rented house on this street.
