Until Tomorrow . . .

Jun 14th, 2010 | By | Category: Uncategorized

Hello to all of my fellow stalkers!

Unfortunately, I do not have a blog to post for today as this was a particularly hectic weekend for me.  I spent all day Friday with my dad, getting him checked out of the hospital and situated at home and was finished just in time to pick up my good friend Nat at the airport who came to L.A. for the weekend to help with wedding preparations.  I promise to be back tomorrow with a whole new post, though.  And, thanks for all of the well wishes for my father – they are MUCH appreciated.  He is doing very well and, for those who have been asking about what exactly it is that he had done – his doctor placed an electric nerve block in his back that shocks his nerve sensors, so if he does have an attack, his brain and body won’t register it.  The block is usually only used for those suffering from back pain, but my dad’s doctor is a very think-outside-of-the-box type person and decided to try to use it to block his abdominal pain.  It took weeks to pass through my dad’s insurance company, as it is not the typical prescribed use of the block, but, lo and behold, the device really seems to be working!  So, keep those fingers crossed and I will keep y’all posted.  And, as I said before, I’ll be back tomorrow.  :)

Until next time, Happy Stalking!  :)

After all your dad has been through lately, hope this nerve block is the answer. Sometimes in life, we have to wait a long time for the right answer. He sounds like a strong person. Glad he has responded positively to this recent procedure. Keeping fingers, toes, legs, arms, hands, ankles and feet crossed! Or, I wish I could anyway….

By the way, are you “working” in your honeymoon? do you have ‘stalking plans’ wherever is your destination? I hope you take those days exclusevely for relax, because I’m afraid your future husband is going to kill you!! :p

It’s a device – an electric stimulation implant. And he has had no pain for over 3 days now. It is giving us all much hope; something that has been difficult to hold onto these past few months. As my daughter has said, thanks ever so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers.
