Moving Day!

ScreenShot5304

Unfortunately, as I mentioned would most likely be the case yesterday, because I helped my parents move all weekend I do not have a new blog to post for today.  I was really hoping to return home from my Cabo honeymoon with a few days to relax and regroup after the chaos that is planning a wedding, but, alas, that was not to be.  I do apologize, though, and will hopefully be back tomorrow with a whole new post.  🙂

In the meantime, please enjoy the above HILARIOUS clips of Ross, Rachel, and the gang trying to move a couch up a flight of stairs from fave show Friends!  PIVOT!  PIVOT!  PIVOT!  If someone had taken a video of me and my family yesterday, it pretty much would have looked exactly like that!    Especially the “Shut up!  Shut up!  Shut up!” part!  😉

Until next time, Happy Stalking!  🙂

Happy Labor Day!

ScreenShot5304

I will be taking today off to celebrate Labor Day with my family.  And because I spent this past weekend helping my parents move, I most likely won’t have a new post to publish for tomorrow either.  🙁  But I promise to be back on Wednesday with a whole new blog, so stay tuned!  Until that time, I’d like to wish all of my fellow stalkers a very happy Labor Day!

Wedding Planning!

ScreenShot5095

Because I was out all day yesterday doing some planning for my upcoming wedding (it’s only one month away now!!!!), I was unable to write a new post for today.  I promise to be back tomorrow, though, with a whole new stalking location.  🙂  Until then, Happy Thursday to all of my fellow stalkers!  🙂

Happy Fourth of July!

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, because I was out and about all day running wedding errands yesterday, I did not have time to write a new blog entry for today.  I will be back on Monday, though, with a whole new stalking location.   In the meantime I’d like to wish all of my fellow stalkers a very happy Fourth of July!

Until Tomorrow . . .

Hello to all of my fellow stalkers!

Unfortunately, I do not have a blog to post for today as this was a particularly hectic weekend for me.  I spent all day Friday with my dad, getting him checked out of the hospital and situated at home and was finished just in time to pick up my good friend Nat at the airport who came to L.A. for the weekend to help with wedding preparations.  I promise to be back tomorrow with a whole new post, though.  And, thanks for all of the well wishes for my father – they are MUCH appreciated.  He is doing very well and, for those who have been asking about what exactly it is that he had done – his doctor placed an electric nerve block in his back that shocks his nerve sensors, so if he does have an attack, his brain and body won’t register it.  The block is usually only used for those suffering from back pain, but my dad’s doctor is a very think-outside-of-the-box type person and decided to try to use it to block his abdominal pain.  It took weeks to pass through my dad’s insurance company, as it is not the typical prescribed use of the block, but, lo and behold, the device really seems to be working!  So, keep those fingers crossed and I will keep y’all posted.  And, as I said before, I’ll be back tomorrow.  🙂

Until next time, Happy Stalking!  🙂

Happy Memorial Day!

ScreenShot4644

I’d like to wish all of my fellow stalkers a VERY happy Memorial Day.  I am taking today off from blogging as I am currently on vacation in the Pacific Northwest, doing some stalking of the Seattle and Vancouver areas, but I promise to be back tomorrow with a whole new post.  I hope you all had a fabulous three day weekend!

Mayo, Schmayo!

Because yesterday was quite possibly one of the worst days in my entire life, I was not able to write a post for today.  I had such high hopes for the Mayo Clinic finding a cure for my dad’s illness, but sadly it has become blindingly apparent that the facility is completely incompetent and inept.  In fact, I’ve seen Rite Aid stores that were run more efficiently!  This place is a complete joke.  My dad’s first doctor consultation was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 12:45 p.m.  The clinic called us on Monday night and asked if we could possibly come in early – at noon.  So, we did.  What time did the doctor see us, you ask?  Oh, at around 1:30 p.m.  I’m so glad we showed up early!  The doctor then had the audacity to inform us that he had not yet had time to go through (or even give a cursory glance to) my dad’s medical records, which my mom had spent numerous hours painstakingly putting together and which we had sent in to him over six weeks ago.  The clinic had told us that the records were the most important part of our pre-admittance process, but all evidence to the contrary.   After meeting with the doctor, the admittance nurse scheduled my dad’s first test.  For when, you ask?  Oh, a week from this upcoming Friday.  Yes my dad’s initial appointment was on May 4th, but his first test is not scheduled until May 14th – A FULL TEN DAYS LATER!  Oh, and what are we supposed to do during those aforementioned ten days?  Sit with our proverbial thumbs up our butts, apparently, all the while paying $250 a night for the pleasure of a hotel room in the Rochester area – a place my dad calls the “fun capital of the world”.  Before my dad was even accepted, the clinic had specified that he would not be at the facility for a period of more than seven days.  Again, all evidence to the contrary!  So, unless something changes, we are on the first plane home tomorrow morning.  For those of you out there who are considering coming to the Mayo Clinic, or know someone who is, I have two words of advice for you – STAY HOME!  I wish we had done the same.  We could have spent the $5,00o we shelled out for this trip on some Louis Vuitton luggage instead – it would have served my dad’s illness about just as much as this visit to the Mayo did!  Ah, well, at least I got in some good Minnesota stalking – otherwise we’d have absolutely nothing to show for this trip.

Mayo Clinic – Here We Come!

Because I spent all day Saturday en route to Minnesota to accompany my dad to the Mayo Clinic and because I spent all day Sunday STALKING the Twin Cities (I stalked a record 18 locations in all), I had no time to write a blog post for today.  So, I am taking the day off, but promise to be back tomorrow with a whole new post.  Happy Monday, my fellow stalkers!

Until next time, Happy Stalking!

Taking a Break . . .

ScreenShot4253

Unfortunately, I have no blog to publish today.  🙁  I had to rush my dad to the emergency room bright and early yesterday morning and wound up spending the entire day and most of the night with him in the hospital.  Which normally wouldn’t have precluded me from writing a post, but for some inexplicable reason I was unable to get online at any point yesterday!!!  Pictured above is pretty much exactly what I looked like at, oh, around 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon.  Supposedly all of Downtown Los Angeles is blanketed with free wireless internet access – except, of course, for the one square block where Good Samaritan Hospital is located.  So annoying!  And my dad is fine – thanks for asking 🙂 – he is just on a lot of pain medication, which means that he slept pretty much the entire time I was there.  Would have been so nice to have had something to do during that time period . . . but such is life, I guess.  Anyway, even though my dad will be in the hospital for a few more days, I’ll be back tomorrow with a whole new blog post, thanks to my lovely fiancé who has now set up a way for me to write my blog while offline.

So . . . until next time, Happy Stalking!  🙂
