  3. hey lindsay how about scouting out the houses(both dennises and the oldies) from dennis the menace 90s film. so cute the neighborhood and surrounding area is(im pretty sure imdb is right in on its illionois locations,i belive they have filmed numerous movies in the upscale neighborhoods there). thanks in advance if you do! 🙂

  13. I stumbled across your site yesterday and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Since I live in Europe I can’t visit every location I want to whenever I want to, but Google Street View and now this site are a huge help.

    I’m also a serious Marilyn fan (been for a long time) and since you’re a fan too I was wondering if you have Eric Woodard’s book Hometown Girl? It’s a fantastic resource to all Marilyn related places in the L.A. area. Thank you SO much for stalking her Catalina Island house 🙂 Could you please stalk at least the following:
    -the Bolender home, where little baby Norma Jeane was placed and she stayed for years. Some resources give the address 459 East Rhode Island Street but I believe it was changed to 4201 W 134th Street. In Hawthorne.
    -Barney’s Beanery, where Marilyn went after she posed nude for Tom Kelley. Apparently Marilyn, Tom Kelley and his wife Natalie sat at the booth that’s the third to the left from the front door (the benches have been replaced). 8447 Santa Monica Blvd
    I can give you more addresses if you want me to 🙂

    Also I have a huge challenge for you: can you find the locations that were used in the filming of John Singleton’s movie Poetic Justice? Justice’s house, Jessie’s Salon and other places especially in the L.A. area interest me a lot.

  14. I’ve often wondered about a large house/duplex that i’ve noticed in Crazy/Beautiful, Training Day and in your beloved 90210. In Crazy/Beautiful, it’s the house that Kirsten Dunst’s boyfriend lives. In Training Day, it’s the house where Ethan Hawke is left behind where the occupants find out he saved their niece from being assaulted earlier in the day and in 90210, it’s in Season 1, episode 13 (i looked it up!) where Brandon becomes interested in the maid’s niece. You can see downtown L.A in the background so it should pretty close to the edge of East L.A.

I am OBSESSED with The Mentalist (mainly for Simon Baker lol) as u know Simon is Australian, well when i was younger ( i just turned 18 last month) i have always loved Australia! N Simon Baker is sooo so so CUTE!!!! <3 and its funny cause , i have always loved Australia, iv always wanted to visit Steve Irwin's zoo, n Hillsong church, n before i even knew who Simon was, my very first snake's name (cause im into reptiles) was Simon lol =) so anyway, when i first read n saw ur pictures when ur on set of The Mentalist i totally flipped out big time! lol i found myself saying OMG in a really high voice when u said that Simon lokked up at u m said hello! lol i so so soooooo badly want to meet him someday, or even be on the set n take pics! Do u happend to have an idea where n when they film? Is it always around the Los Angeles area? I live in San Jose wich is in northern California, but ill be in Pamona in a couple of months for a baby shower, i asked my mom if we could go a like 2 days early so we could go to Hollywood walk of Fame, so we probly are! im excited!!!     1. I would suggest a visit to Warner Bros. studios; on my visit there last week we actually got to go into the set of the Mentalist. I’ve never watched the show, but the set was very impressive!

  18. Sanford and Son – The building that Fred sits in front of (and Lamont pulls into) in the opening credits is at 10659 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood, CA. The “Cartwright Ave.” sign that you see in the opening by the sidewalk is still there, but the building looks different today.

    1. Very interesting. What got you looking for this location as my friend and I have been looking on and off for a while now and I never saw that street sign but with the You Tube intro it was a little blurry. Great job!!!

  19. LOVE your site. Very very cool. I have a couple of locations I’ve dreamed of finding for a while and they may be a little tricky? The apartment building from the original ELLEN sitcom and the apartment building from the seasons of LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY when they moved to Hollywood. All the best to you!!!

    1. I read somewhere that the apartment building from the Hollywood “Laverne and Shirley” seasons is close to/across from Burbank High School in Burbank, CA. You may be able to street view it with Google.

  20. I have extremely enjoyed your “Scream” locations but the impossible one seems to be Sidney Prescott’s home, towards Calistoga – haven’t found a confirmation anywhere…so the challenge is extended! 🙂 Or if anyone else out there knows…
