ok loving the new show Perception (of course i would Eric McCormack from Will & Grace is in it)…any who can you see if any of the locations are in LA. It’s supposed to take place in Chicago..but some of the houses they use might be in LA…..
The pilot was filmed in Chicago, but the rest of the series is taped in L.A. 🙂 The school where he teaches is actually All Saints Church in Pasadena. 🙂 I’ll see if I can dig up any info on the houses.
Any chance you know where any scenes from some Pauly Shore movies were filmed? Especially “In the Army Now” because there doesn’t seem to be that many locations listed online.

Good timing…I just found this one out myself. The Visualize Self-Realization Center Church is The Brandeis-Bardin Campus of the American Jewish University, located in Simi Valley, California. They must use CGI to superimpose the churches Eye logo on the front of the cement building. That building has been used in a few films and music videos.
You should check out the filming location for deloris claiborne. Its in nova scotia in a beautiful little town.

Hi Lindsay – I was recently watching the largely forgotten 1950s suburban satire No Down Payment. It’s set in a new housing estate Los Angeles and includes scenes of both the suburb and also some “downtown” main street areas. Any idea where they would be?

RE: The Abbey on North Robertson in West Hollywood. Was this Jackson Browne’s childhood home? The picture on his “For Everyman” album?

As a JB fan, I wanted to respond to this. The Abbey where JB grew up was in Highland Park, not West Hollywood. The album cover is a depiction of his home and not necessarily the real thing. I did try to figure out where the actual photo was taken but no luck so far. On a related topic, I was camping at Gaviota Beach (West of Santa Barbara) not far from one of JB’s homes and noticed that the rusty train trestle over the beach is shown (partially) on the album cover for The Naked Ride Home.
Both the exterior shots for “Mike & Molly” (Molly’s house) and “Melissa & Joey” have been used before, which sitcoms? Mike & Molly’s house looks like King of Queens – the later years.
Can you please find any Bones locations that happen to be in L.A. That would be exteremely helpful.
On the show “BONES”, the exterior shot above is often shown before they cut to a scene in
Bones’ forensics lab. That Jeffersonian lab is supposed to be located in Washington DC,
but what you’re looking at is actually the Exposition Park Rose Garden, in Los Angeles.
( Exposition Park that is home to the L.A. Olympic Coliseum and the same
Los Angeles Sports Arena seen (above) in “Mr. Sunshine”. )

Museum of Science & Industry (AKA the California Science Center).
