  1. Hi Lindsay!

I love your site and you are darling! I have a “Knots Landing” challenge for you: In Season 3, one of the series’ most famous episodes, “The Three Sisters,” aired on January 21, 1982. The episode, which features only the female cast, has realtor Laura taking the neighborhood ladies with her to a remote, unspecified town to check out an old house rumored to be haunted by the three sisters who lived there. The women must spend the night in the moldy mansion when Karen’s car won’t start. The ghosts of the sisters want Val to join them and be their mother, and try to get her to jump off the roof. On the roof, Lilimae is able to talk Val out of her trance, and she doesn’t jump.

According to actress Kim Lankford, who played Ginger Ward, “I remember us filming that vividly, because we were in an old house in Pasadena and – um – and odd things happened…” (see http://www.knotslanding.net/interviews/kim.htm)

You can watch the episode and view the house on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31qkkH5oKGg

If anyone can find this Pasadena house, I know you can!

    Thanks!

    James

    1. Hi James,
Thank you so much! I am so glad to hear that you like my site! πŸ™‚ I scanned through that episode of Knots Landing and I think the house was most likely designed by Wallace Neff, which should make it a bit easier to find. Check out the post I did on the Monter-in-Law mansion, also designed by Neff, and you can see some definite similarities in the interior entryway. Many of his homes had that circular entryway with a curving staircase and a black-and-white checkered floor. I will go to the library tomorrow and look at some books on Neff to see if I can find the Knots Landing house.
      Happy Stalking :),

      1. Hi Lindsay!

Thanks for all your efforts. I appreceiate the legwork that goes into your site, which is what makes yours stand head and shoulders above the rest.

        Happy Stalking to you!

    2. Hi James,
I came across aerial views of the house at 257 South Grand Avenue and was wondering if that was the haunted mansion from The Three Sisters. When I went to check the YouTube link, though, I found it had been taken down. πŸ™ Take a look at the house though and tell me what you think.

  2. Lindsay,

Do you know if the National Biscuit Company Lofts on 1850 Industrial St
Los Angeles, CA 90021 has ever been a film location? I pass by there every day and it looks like a perfect location for filming so instead of always wondering if it has I decided to asked you so that once and for all I can get it out of my mind.

    Happy stalkings!

  4. Hi! I was wondering if you could find the address of Selena Gomez’s house? She plays Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place. Thanks!

  5. Hey, I don’t know if you watch Chuck, but if you could find any locations used in that show, it would be awesome!
    Thanks! I love this website!

    1. I guess you’re talking of the house from season 4. The other one (from seasons 9 and 10) is the famous Adamson House at 23200 W. Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu. I’m sure Lindsay can found where the first house is located if you can provide her a picture!

  6. Can you please film out more locations from The Office in Los Angeles? Specifically the older seasons. Like which Hooters and Chilis did they film at? You did a great job with the newer seasons so please keep those coming too!

    1. Hooters – Burbank, CA. Chili’s – was not a real Chili’s. It was actually an abandoned Black Angus restaurant at 14678 Roscoe Blvd in Panorama City. It has since been torn down.

  7. Life As We Know It was a TV show that only aired one season in 2004-2005.
I don’t think it was shot in L.A, but your soo good at finding that stuff out thought I’d ask.

  8. I need to find out the apartment complex in I Love you, Alice B Toklas! And also the proposal scene at the end of “shampoo.”

  9. hello,
you can go take pictures of the house of Jason Priestley? for me.
    You want his address?
Here you can say hello to me.
    thank you very much.

  10. I absolutely love all your posts Lindsey !! I was wondering if you’ve ever though about stalking the Dirty Dancing locations. The hotel from the movie is Mountain Lake Resort in Virginia and I hear they have a Dirty Dancing Weekend. And, all of the clubhouse and staff quarters and the water lift scene were filmed in Lake Lure. A fire destroyed many of the buildings but I hear that Babys Steps where she practiced dancing and the bottom to the club house and dance studio are still there. It was an old boys camp apparently. Would be so cool to see photos of these locations. And, as always kep up the fabulous work !! πŸ™‚

    1. Also, the log theyre dancing on in the scene where “Hey Baby” is playing .. no ones been able to locate .. figured if anyone could locate it, it would be you !! πŸ™‚
